We are steadily catching up, thanks to the very hot weather we have had in the past week. All of our crops are un schedule and we are picking daily. The on-farm store is open daily and we will be at the Regina Farmers’ Market every Wednesday & Saturday
This week we have:
Carrots – orange & rainbow
Beets – red & golden
Kohlrabi – green & purple
Bunching Onions
Radish
Swiss Chard
Lettuce
New Potatoes
Zucchini – green, yellow and new round “eight ball”
Cabbage – purple & green
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Peas
Beans – green & yellow
Dill
Cucumbers (for small dilling cucumbers please place an order; call 731-3133)
Several customers have mentioned that they didn’t think we would have any veggies this year due to the flood. We were able to plant things basically on time on 30 acres of dry (non flooded land) and another 80 acres of rented land that has some of our later crops planted on it. Our crops are on schedule and ALL of the vegetables we sell are grown by us!
Have a look at the progress. These photos were taken on July 20th, 2011.
