Muziek Art Gallery is the newest art gallery to open in Lumsden.
Located at 65 – 2nd Avenue. Muziek offers an eclectic assembly of
visual, audio and culinary expressions of art. The word “Muziek” is
Dutch for music and reflects the heritage of two of the owners.
Muziek is owned and operated by Maudy Davis, Arnie Davis and Sophie
Staley. Maudy and Arnie operated Maudy’s Restaurant for 12 years in
Lumsden. The restaurant has gone through some major renovations and
has morphed into a beautiful art gallery.
Please stop by Muziek and you will find a variety of splendid art work
on display by various artists from Lumsden and surrounding area. You
are encouraged to take your time to look around, enjoy a cup of
speciality coffee or tea and sample one of Maudy’s daily dessert
specials.
Business hours during the winter months are Thursday to Sunday 12:00 -
8:00 p.m. When the weather warms up business hours will be Tuesday to
Sunday 12:00 – 8:00 p.m. Muziek will also hold regular entertainment
events that will be advertised in advance, featuring talented regional
artists and musicians.
